Description
Widower Frank knows better than anyone that happiness can be very fragile. His first wife died far too early, leaving him with his daughter Sara. After a long time, Frank remarries Lidy. Sara is happy with her 'new mother', but his mother-in-law Emma resents the fact that she feels her deceased daughter is being replaced. This also changes Sara's attitude towards Lidy. But then something happens to Sara, which puts all relationships even more on edge.
The Fragility of Life is a compelling family novel in which Ina van der Beek describes how fragile, but also how beautiful life can be.
